Kirsty is a qualified Attorney and practices as a Consultant at BBP Law. She currently acts as a tutor at the University of the Western Cape in their Private Law Department. Kirsty has 5 years post qualification experience. As an aspiring academic she has taken the opportunity to broaden her knowledge and experience while developing educational skills and tools. Before exploring opportunities in the private sector, Kirsty’s primary areas of practice are Insurance Law, Property Law and the Law of Succession.
Kirsty completed her Master’s degree cum laude at the University of the Western Cape focusing on Gambling Legislation and specifically the possibility of legalising and regulating online gambling in South Africa. She hopes her research in the field will have an impact on job creation.
Kirsty is currently completing her Doctoral degree also at the University of the Western Cape focusing on the transfer of ownership of moveable property. Specifically focusing on the credit regulation industry and instalment sales. She hopes, through her research, to be able to recommend meaningful changes to the National Credit Act.
Her lively and inquiring character coupled with an analytical mind set her above the rest. She is focused and driven, valuing integrity as a top priority.
